By failing to prepare, you prepare to fail.
This adage (often attributed to Benjamin Franklin) neatly summarises the importance of planning and preparation. This is important in all aspects of life, and is especially so in financial planning.
Many people do not take professional financial advice, for various reasons – for example, due to a perception that it is expensive. However, a report carried out jointly by the International Longevity Centre and Royal London was published in 2019, which found that over the course of a decade people who had taken advice were on average over £47,000 better off than those who had not.
Financial Planning Week runs from 5th to 11th October 2020, and has been organised by The Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) to promote the benefits of financial planning and advice.
Westerby The Wealth Advisers are proud to support this initiative, and we are offering a free one hour consultation to help to identify where financial planning could benefit you. Please contact us if you would like to take advantage of this offer.
We will be publishing articles throughout the week, beginning later today with an overview of the potential benefits of financial planning.
